Guide ratification and implementation of the Optional Protocol to Convention on the Rights of Child against involvement of children in armed conflict

The Permanent Peace Movement in partnership with the gathering bodies for children's rights in Lebanon and with funding from the European Union and in collaboration with the Higher Council for Childhood working on a project the ratification of the protocol optional for the Convention on the Rights of the Child on the involvement of children in armed conflict by the Lebanese Parliament, and follow up its implementation. We have modified this guide and make it more convenient with the reality of regional and national levels, this guide is your  optional protocol on the involvement of children in armed conflict, which prepared by UNICEF and the NGO coalition known as the Coalition to Stop the Use of Child Soldiers contribution them to drive him and end the use of child soldiers. It is expected that this version can be useful to mobilize national and international efforts to support this goal.
 
The purpose of this guide is to help non-governmental organizations and the protection of the child and other child rights advocates and government officials in their efforts to ensure the ratification of or accession to the Optional Protocol to the full implementation of the Treaty. It is the purpose of this guide is to be useful to the organization UNICEF workers and human rights organizations and organizations working in the field of humanitarian assistance, especially those working in national or alliances as coalition partner organizations to stop the use of children as soldiers.
